Rugby lessons

We had rugby lessons. It was lots of fun. Our teachers are Jo and Chris. We did our second last lesson. We had to have a defender this week. At the end of the whole thing we get a free footy. Jo and Chris play Rugby League. I can't wait until we get the free footy. Thanks Jo and Chris for spending time with us.

Grandparents day

On Thursday the 21st of the 10th 2010, we had grandparents day. My nan and pop brought some stuff in from when they were back in the 1900s. My pop had 32 kids in his school all in one class with one teacher! The choir and music ministry sang for the grandparents. We took lots of photos and we all had a good day. Thank-you for coming to grandparents day poppy and nanny.

Mary Mackillop dress up

On Friday the 15th of the 10th 2010, we dressed up like we were back in the olden days. The girls were lucky because they only got a small slap on the knuckles if they wrote with their left hand but boy oh boy, the boys got the cane or the belt! Mrs Hatzis dressed up as Mary Mackillop. All of us looked fantastic and we did an excellent job dressing up. Thank-you Mary Mackillop for keeping us safe.

The Dance Cart concert

Last term we had our Dance Cart concert. We did an Ambush dance. The song we did was " Waltzing Matilda". The girls had to dress up as Cowgirls and the boys had to dress up as Cowboys. I won for 3p star award and I got three prizes. I gave one to Liam and one to Meg. We had lots of fun at Dance Cart. I love Dance Cart! Thank-you Dance Cart teachers.

3p excursion

On Thursday 26th of the 8th 2010, we went to the Science Center and the Museum. There were 4 different zones. The action zone, the show zone, the body zone and the science zone. My favourite zone was the body zone and my favourite thing about the body zone was the moving walls room. My favourite level in the museum was level three and my favourite thing about level three was the animal snap. I learnt a lot of new things there while having fun.

3p Science experiment

A few weeks ago, we did an experiment. It was about force and motion. We did it in the classroom. We had to do the experiment in our Science groups. We had to do an investigation planner first. Next we had to do the experiment. We gathered a matchbox, a rubberband and two metre rulers. After that we had to do a graph sheet and a question sheet. Finally we did an explanation about it. I have had lots of fun doing this experiment and I'm glad that we are doing Science for our new learning habit. The experiment went good and I think I should practise pulling the rubberband back.

Dance Cart

5 weeks ago we started Dance Cart. I think we do dance Cart to learn how to dance and for fun. The first dance we did was " The Marmaduke warm up". The next dance was a " Micheal Jackson ". A hippe came to help us with the Micheal Jackson dance. Our concert dance is " Waltzing Matilda ". We have finally finished the Waltzing Matilda dance. We have had lots of fun doing Dance Cart. I LOVE DANCE CART!

Japanese visit

Two days ago,Japanese students came to our school. They did a Japanese presentation for us. They taught us about Japanese stuff like hair extension, green tea and kimono. Kimono is a type of Japanese dress. Jesse and Jacqueline had to try on the dress. When they came in, they looked funny. Did you know that green tea is made out of green leaves!. They did a fantastic and superb presentation. I liked their culture very much. Thank you Japanese students.

Talent extravaganza

We had the talent extravaganza and my sister was in it. She was doing it with her little friend Kasey. My favourite act was " The magic box " . I also liked Saturday night karate. Every one did well but I didn't see it all because I had to go to the optometrist. I enjoyed the show so much I wanted to stay but I had to go to the optometrist for a special reason. Thank you Mrs Haran for organizing the talent extravaganza.

Skipping group visit

A skipping group came to our school. The group's name was Jumping Beans. They showed their routines in the shed. The group was from Beenleigh state school. I could tell that they were excellent at skipping. It was amazing. I think they will come tomorrow and teach classes skipping. It was exciting. Thanks to the Jumping Beans.

Wala visit

An African group came to our school. the group's name was "Wala". They played African music in our shed.We wanted the teachers to dance so the "Wala" group made them dance!. "Wala" means life. We got to ask them questions. I said what are your favrouite hobbies?. The leader said he liked soccer. His brother said he liked soccer too. His sister said she liked singing. At the end we had an African disco. It was lots of fun. Thanks to the "Wala" group.

Wild man visit

"Wild man" was a great Naturalist. He was the coolest man I have ever seen. There were eight different animal groups. There were red-eyed-tree frogs, saltwtaer crocodiles, long-necked turtles, freshwater eels, black morons, froglets, wombats and black swans. There were lots of things to touch, feel and smell. We even got to touch poo! My group was the black swans. I loved everything. I will remember that visit for my whole life.

Our water use investigation

We were trying to see how much water we use at school each day.My group had to see how much water we use when we flush the toilet.All of the groups got to take photos and my group had to take the photos at the toilets.We had to bring the timer down to fill a bucket of water the same amount of time we did for the toilet flush and when we did our graph I could see that we used too much water washing our hands.I think we can save water by using only how much water we really need.

Brisbane Markets

Yesterday we had a vistor and her name was Vanessa. She was from the Brisbane Markets. She brought her friend called Oscar the orang.She also brought two kinds of apples that we could eat.She told us about fruits and veges.She brought in some pencil cases for us. The colours were blue, purple, red and green.

This is my maths activity.I think February is the best month because t is Mine and Jaqes birth day on February 21st.Also I like February because it is my Mum's birthday on the 22nd and Cindy's on the 25th of February.
